Corn Husk Dolls

 

Corn husk dolls are often made after a local husking bee such as this one.

During a husking bee Tuscarora Community members and friends from the Confederacy get together to help husk and braid the annual corn crop. The corn is referred to as "Tuscarora corn."

 

Dolls like these are often made after a husking bee.These dolls are wearing traditional Tuscarora outfits including beaded moccasins.
